“Creating opportunities means looking where others are not.”

-Mark Cuban

Natalie Mousseau is a true Florida native, born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida and graduating from St. Petersburg High School in 2010. While in high school, Natalie was active in the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Teen Court, and soccer.

Natalie went on to attend the Florida State University, where she graduated with honors, double majoring in Criminology and Political Science. While at Florida State, Natalie was a founding sister of the Alpha Phi sorority and Vice President of the Order of Omega honor society.

Natalie’s call to the law came at a young age, when, instead of cartoons, Natalie would try on her mom’s heels and dresses and watch Court TV. Natalie continued her love of watching Court TV into college, where she actively watched the Case Anthony trial. It was during this trial she realized her dream of attending law school and she worked diligently to achieve that dream.

Natalie enjoyed cheering on the ‘Noles so much during her undergraduate studies that she decided to stay for three more years, attending the Florida State University College of Law. While in law school, Natalie proved her talent for client advocacy and litigation in her Criminal Trial Litigation Skills clinic, where she received the highest grade. Natalie’s defense skills proved strong as she led her clinic’s mock trial team to victory at the close of the semester.

Natalie was fortunate to put her demonstrated skills to work in a variety of legal settings including internships with the Office of Criminal Conflict Regional Counsel and the Department of Children and Families, Children’s Legal Services, as well as a law clerk position with William R. Wohlsifer, P.A.

Natalie also had the opportunity to serve as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Judge Stephanie Ray, who serves as an appellate judge for the First District Court of Appeals. During her time with Judge Ray, Natalie gained invaluable experience researching and analyzing appellate briefs in diverse cases (e.g., personal injury, criminal, family) and drafting memorandums to Judge Ray with her recommendations.

Prior to joining Hightower and Partners, Natalie represented employers in a variety of employment law actions including employment discrimination and retaliation, violation of the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and wrongful termination.

Natalie joined Hightower & Partners and concentrates her practice on products liability, automobile negligence and premises liability.

Natalie is a member of the St. Petersburg Bar Association. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, playing with her dogs, cooking, and reading.
